Opened in August 2020, Lathom House is an impressive building that offers a truly exceptional modern facility for clinical and non-clinical duties, ideal for medical, health and therapy practitioners in which to consult with clients.
Patients will not only find it easy to travel to see you but when they arrive, either by public transport or by car, will find a bright and welcoming reception area with modern décor and comfortable seating. Free wi-fi access is also available to complement the secure cat5 ethernet and separate wi-fi connectivity for health professionals using our facilities.
Each consulting room is designed to be fully clinically compliant as well as having classical mid-century furnishings from designers such as Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen, allowing you to present your private practice in comfortable and modern surroundings.
Alongside the range of consulting rooms, practitioners also have access to a furnished treatment room with hydraulic/electric treatment chair and lockable LEC medical grade refrigerator.
To complement our consulting rooms and treatment room, we also have a meeting room for peer discussions or client/ patient meetings alongside administration space for private secretaries.

Safe and Secure Environment
Lathom House has a state of the art secure card access control system, for medical professionals alongside a secure keypad access control system for patients/clients as well as having fully compliant disabled access and facilities. You will have access to on-site secure car parking with further free local parking within a 2 minute walk.
Getting to Lathom House
The main A59 trunk road serves to provide excellent vehicular access to the town of Burscough with the M57 and M58 motorways reachable within a 20 minute drive and the M6 motorway only 15 minutes away.
Superb rail connectivity is provided by two local stations situated within a few minutes walk of the consulting rooms, offering direct access to Liverpool, Manchester, Southport, Preston, Wigan and Bolton.

Martin Cookson

After a successful career in the Aerospace industry, Martin embarked upon a career in financial services during the mid 1990s and has spent the majority of the past 25 years advising medical professionals and their families. In recent years, Martin had the vision to expand the services he offered to the medical fraternity and following a 2 year search in which he identified what he believes to be a facility of the highest order and in an ideal centrally located situation in rural west lancs, Lathom House Consulting Rooms was born.
Mike Starkey B.A. Hons
After successfully completing a B.A.(Hons) Degree in History and Politics in 1994 Mike embarked on a career in accountancy with the aspiration of completing the ACCA accountancy exams working in the engineering sector. Realising the importance of providing individuals and businesses with trusted financial planning advice Mike became a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1999 and has forged a successful career now running his own financial planning business specialising in Commercial and Personal Wealth Planning. With clients and friends embedded within the medical sector, Mike has felt passionate about providing a 5 * facility for medical practitioners in the local area and from his entrepreneurial spirit, drive and business relationships Lathom House Consulting Rooms has been formed.
